Summary: Installation was easy and fast. The scanner is connected to USB HUB with self-powered mode. It works fine. I scanned a 4x6 normal silver halide color print at 300 dpi. It took only 25 seconds. Then I made a color photo print at 1440 dpi( As you know, several printer dots make each pixel in image).
Very good basic scanner, but scanning results are variable

Summary: Pro: extremely lightweight - I've carried it on multiple occasions to the Library of Congress to use in research projects there (yes, they allow researchers to use scanners - and digicams too!
Summary: I just purchased this scanner yesterday, but so far I am extremely impressed. I'm using it for scanning old photographs with Photoshop 5.5 and the results are astonishing for such an inexpensively priced unit. It's very lightweight, compact, and easy to install.
Summary: After purchasing the Canon n656u scanner and having so many problems with it, I finally purchased the N670u from Canon and I have to say I love it. It is simple, easy and very, very nice to work with.
Summary: Scans are very nice. Makes good text copies. Speedy. Only problem I have is that there's a lock on the bottom that you have to unleash for the scanner to work. Took me forever to figure this one out. Didn't read the manual--MY BAD!
Summary: ...have to admit I was a little frustrated when I first started using it. It does not come with a detailed user guide, just a quick-start pamphlet that helps you install the software and hook up the hardware.
Summary: Pros: Very small size. Can store vertically with the stand included. Z-lid for bulky scans. Easy to use. Cons: When looking at the scan on the computer screen sometimes they look horrible, but when printed they look great!! This is the Canon software that is included, not the scanner.
