  • Summary: Perfect for people who occasionally scan in photographs. Scans look really nice. Professionals will want to spend more for a beefier scanner.
  • Pros: Thin and stylish, does a really good job at a cheap price.
  • Cons: There are faster scanners with higher dpi out there. Scan is slow at highest dpi. USB 1.1

Greatest bling for the buck

ziggrl the geek girl, Amazon

  • Summary: Pros: Very small size. Can store vertically with the stand included. Z-lid for bulky scans. Easy to use. Cons: When looking at the scan on the computer screen sometimes they look horrible, but when printed they look great!! This is the Canon software that is included, not the scanner. You can't get any better for this price. I wanted an entry level scanner to scan CD covers. This was a perfect choice.

Good stuff cheap

meto "meto", Amazon
26 March 2003
  • Summary: This is a fine little scanner for light duty. Doesn't take up a lot of space, and doesn't need a separate power cord. That's a huge plus. I take a star off for the installation and driver software. The Japanese manufacturers, try as they might, just can't seem to perfect the software fit and finish. The prompts are sometimes confusing, and the interface does comply with Windows standards. The icons are weird. Why not just use standard menus???
