List All 6 PricesDesigned for those with budget in mind, the slimline Canon LiDE 60 weighs in at about four pounds and is less than two inches tall, which makes it an excellent purchase for those whose space is limited.
Equipped with a stand the LiDE 60 is storeable in an upright position, and does away with the power cord, taking its power from a high speed USB 2 connection.
Largely a one purpose scanner, it scans photos and documents at a maximum resolution of 1200 DPI, is not equipped with a transparency adapter, and cannot be used for scanning film.
The lid is expandable, but does not remove entirely.
Scanner speeds are good on the LiDE 60, and in a full-page 300-dpi color test, the LiDE 60 earned high marks for speed, scoring nearly identical marks to the Epson perfection. Image quality is somewhat lacking in print testing, with accuracy not entirely perfect however monochromes are well reproduced in both light and contrast.
The LiDE offers some scanning software that provides for image enhancement, such as fade correctin, backlighting correctin as well as dust and scratch reductions, and provides for both new and seasoned users by permitting varying scanning modes for those who are more in the know about the scanner.
Four push buttons will help with various tasks such as scanning, copying, sending emails and creating a PDF file and the optical character recognition software, )Scansoft Omnipage) comes provided with the scanner.
Looking for simple, high-quality scanning in one super-sleek machine? Four easy buttons automate the entire process, so it’s a snap to scan, copy and create e-mail attachments or PDFs. Your results…
