great scanner with high resolution and great color fidelity

Y.Song "triclops", Amazon
2 December 2013
  • Summary: lightweight and compact but great resolution, fast, and good scanner. I use it mainly for two applications - scanning documents and scanning drawings for later inking using photoshop. The built in software is great for making quick pdfs. The scanner hooks up easily using USB and the twain interface makes it work seamlessly with applicatons like photoshop so you don't need to open a separate application to import scanned images.

exceeds what I need

WILLIAM J. ONEILL III "Mr.OBill", Amazon
14 June 2013
  • Summary: This Canon Canoscan LiDE 700F Color Image Scanner could not be more perfect. I need to scan many old family prints and this device can do up to1200 dots per inch to capture the tiniest of details. I like that there is no bulb warm up time because it uses cool low wattage but very bright white LEDs. The low wattage also allows this scanner to be powered only from the same USB port as the data. This means no messy power cord or extra electrical outlet needed.

Film Adapter Fix - Press Scanner Button BEFORE Running Film Scanner Software - UPDATE FROM 3 TO 5 STARS

Mike Thomas, Amazon
3 May 2013
  • Summary: Amazon Purchased Item - I initially gave this item 3 stars because the film adapter would not work. I was receiving an error 2, 142, 0. I read, in another review on this item where the reviewer was having a problem just trying to scan (photo, not film) The fix for that reviewer was to press the scan button before scanning. I thought, if it works on regular photo scanning, maybe it will work for me for film, since I was not having any problem scanning photos, just film.

Fills the Bill, Perfectly

Pianist, Canon
11 October 2012
  • Conclusion: Small footprint, low profile, big features....this unit beats the others hands down. Running exclusively on USB power, this unit has all of the advanced features. It is the most user-friendly scanner that I have ever used. The hardware and the software are both superb. Canon has a winner with this one!
  • Pros: Compact Design, durable, Fast Connectivity, High resolution, High-speed scanning, easy to use, minimal warm up time
