Great fast scanner

SamSpade, Canon
12 October 2013
  • Conclusion: I've been VERY pleased with this scanner for the cost VERY good, seems fast and accurate. Cannon seems to contine support for new drivers and software OS, some companies do NOT.
  • Pros: Compact Design, durable, High resolution, High-speed scanning, easy to use

  • Summary: I have had a few recent lemons (none Canon) this one works great and has enough bells and whistles to fit all my needs. Very pleased so far. I have a few functions left to test out but I have faith!

The absolute best!!!

C. Johnson, Amazon
28 August 2013
  • Summary: Piles of ancient 35 mm negatives sitting in boxes. Tried to used old film scanner with abysmal results. This very inexpensive scanner gives great results. I'm using 3600 dpi TIFF format. Great results.

  • Summary: Great tool for scanning images into photo shop. I love everything about this item EXCEPT the "Instructions". IMHO the instructions are probably wonderful for someone who already knows how to set the unit up and operate it. For me, (Mister Ignorant,) they are pretty much worthless. After giving up on the digital manual, I simply went tp photoshop and let the software guide my footsteps.

exceeds what I need

WILLIAM J. ONEILL III "Mr.OBill", Amazon

  • Summary: This Canon Canoscan LiDE 700F Color Image Scanner could not be more perfect. I need to scan many old family prints and this device can do up to1200 dots per inch to capture the tiniest of details. I like that there is no bulb warm up time because it uses cool low wattage but very bright white LEDs. The low wattage also allows this scanner to be powered only from the same USB port as the data. This means no messy power cord or extra electrical outlet needed.

Film Adapter Fix - Press Scanner Button BEFORE Running Film Scanner Software - UPDATE FROM 3 TO 5 STARS

Mike Thomas, Amazon
3 May 2013
  • Summary: Amazon Purchased Item - I initially gave this item 3 stars because the film adapter would not work. I was receiving an error 2, 142, 0. I read, in another review on this item where the reviewer was having a problem just trying to scan (photo, not film) The fix for that reviewer was to press the scan button before scanning. I thought, if it works on regular photo scanning, maybe it will work for me for film, since I was not having any problem scanning photos, just film.
