Excellent color accuracy, USB powered, easy to use, no warmup.

  • Summary: I purchased this scanner used, my old scanner was getting unreliable. Since this one uses LED lighting it did not require a warmup, and the fact that it runs off USB power makes it very convienent and portable. Make sure that the scanner head is locked before moving the unit if there is any chance of a hard bump. (It is not easy to take the scanner apart to put the belt back on the idler wheel.) Of course, this goes for any scanner.

  • Summary: I had already been using a canon scanner Lide 35. However my new pc would not recognize it..so after about a year, I broke down and purchased this model. No issues with my PC and it works fine. I am pleased with the performance and would recomend it to a friend. This Model will also read 35mm film and make pictures from the original film negatives.. I was unaware of this at the time of purchase...definatley a bonus as I still have my 35 mm slr camera !

Canon LiDE 600F flatbed scanner

vx5r, Ebay
8 November 2009
  • Summary: Does slides, negatives, and photos very well. Can select multiple photos or negatives to be scanned individually from the unit. Software, PhotoStudio and CanoScan, does a good job of correcting some photographic anomalies. Runs off a USB 2.0 port, no wall wart. Had LED lighting rather than florescent, gives faster startup. Low profile, only 1.625" tall. Can be stood up with built in support.

Great scanner

R. Cornell "Cornell", Amazon
25 August 2008
  • Summary: We wanted to replace another Canon CanoScan scanner which was several years old. We have been extremely pleased with the LIDE 600. I do scans of both old negatives and book pages and love the fact that this scanner does both beautifully. The tilt top will accommodate large books, which we cannot do with our all-in-one printer. Great all-around scanner.

Another example of a good Canon product!

Texas Mom Loves Flats, Amazon

  • Summary: I purchased this scanner because I needed something lightweight to travel with. The most important deciding factor was that I own two Canon desktop printers that were both inexpensive, reliable, ink replacements are reasonably priced, and have surpassed print quality expected for the price.
