Summary: I purchased this scanner mainly because I saw it on sale awhile back and grabbed it to scan in paperwork at my home office. The quality is so good I opted to start scanning in all of my charcoal and graphite drawings. Works like a champ but at higher than average dpi (300+) its rather slow.
Excerpt: Well, I just upgraded to Winxp for $13 at retail.microsoft.com . Any ways I had no idea that winxp didn't support twain drivers for parallel ports. So I had to go out and get a new scanner to work on my projects...
Summary: Amazing quality for a great price. Got this scanner primarily for scanning business invoices to the PC and was hoping it could handle scanning some artwork at high res. Takes about 1.5 minutes at 1200dpi for 8x11 but the quality is outstanding.
Summary: This scanner does what it is supposed to do. Nothing fancy, but it works. USB 2.0 makes it faster than LIDE 20. Push buttons are good, but I'd like to see the scan open in your favorite application without the scanner saving it. You can save it later after you have tweaked it.
Summary: I put 3 stars because customer service was very nice and he gave a very great service for 2 hours, although they still couldn't solve the problem. What they told me is this CanoScan LIDE 35 is not compatible with Windows XP... And I cannot do anything with this scanner..
