Canon Canoscan LiDE 25 flatbed scanner

Patrick Philips, REVIEW STREAM

  • Excerpt: I recently purchased a Canon Canoscan LiDE 25 flatbed scanner. I was looking for something in a reasonable price range that also worked well for scanning both photos and artwork. So it had to have high resolution capabilities and a decent amount of features. A friend recommended this model so I went ahead and picked one up. The great thing about it is it was only 50 dollars. You can’t beat that price for a good scanner! The installation process was quick and simple.

  • Summary: I needed to get a different scanner because mine didn't support Windows 7. This scanner does support it. It's nothing exciting. It serves it's purpose. That's what I wanted.

  • Excerpt: Purchased the Canoscan LiDE 25 scanner in early 2008 to transfer photos and paper files to disk.
  • Pros: Cheap. Good quality. Held up better than expected. Flatbed!
  • Cons: Low-end software. Platen too small for legal paper.

  • Summary: Good scanner. I just needed better quality images for website; better than just digital photos. I have to work on them in photoshop, but if you have photoshop it's a good scanner for the money.

  • Summary: This scanner is extremely light and compact. The software and hardware was easy to install. The quality of the scanned images has been excellent. It was easy to learn to operate. The images save and import easily. Really, the only negative is that it takes a minute or two to scan.
