Canon CanoScan LiDE 25

PC Magazine
29 December 2005
  • Conclusion: The Canon CanoScan LiDE 25 is a no-frills package, offering relatively slow scanning and bundled with only a low-end photo editor and a special-edition OCR program. But it handles photos surprisingly well for the price, and includes such welcome touches as a color-restore feature for faded photos.
  • Pros: Low price. Reasonably good-quality scans for photos. Color-restore feature for faded photos. Batch-scan option. Simple interface for beginners and an advanced interface for better control.
  • Cons: Minimal software bundle includes only a photo editor and light-version OCR program. USB 1.1 connection limits scan speed.

Canon CanoScan LiDE 25 Review

29 December 2005
  • Conclusion: The Canon CanoScan LiDE 25 is an affordable desktop scanner for home users. It is a bit slow, but otherwise works fine. The scan driver is very easy to use, offering lots of functionality. Be careful with the Auto Tone, or at least be ready to adjust the scanned image later.
