I think this is a GREAT scanner!

adambein, Amazon
10 November 2014
  • Summary: I'd buy this thing again in a heartbeat & give it as a gift as well. It is very, very portable-you just slip it into your 17" backpack/laptop carrying case, no problem! Plug it in (w/Windows 8.1) and you are instantly in business.

Great... for what it's designed to do

Alabama Al, Canon
18 August 2014
  • Conclusion: OK, so it's not the LiDE110, it's the LiDE70! BUT I'll bet the speed and resolution has improved a bunch. I've been using the '70 for about 5 years and its portability suits my needs (fits in my backpack WITH my laptop and only one cable needed).
  • Pros: Compact Design, Fast Connectivity, High resolution, easy to use, price!
  • Cons: Large Footprint, medium speed scanning

Canon makes pretty good scanners

17 August 2014
  • Summary: Not as easy to use as my old LIDE 30. I'm not an advanced computer wiz, but I figured it out after a while. It does work great, tho. If you're not computer smart, get someone who is and save yourself some time and sweat. Again, it IS a good scanner.

Good replacement flatbed scanner

rtgustafson, Ebay
3 May 2014
  • Summary: This was used and reconditioned. I bought it to replace an LiDE100 which had been stolen. It works as well as the LiDE100, but the software downloaded from canon.com seems to be better than that for the LiDE100. The price was right, too.

Good scanner, not so great software

jfo446, Ebay
8 January 2014
  • Summary: I bought this because my old scanner (also a Canon) wouldn't work under Windows 7, couldn't get a new driver for it. The price for the new one was very reasonable, so I decided it was less hassle than trying to get the old one to work.

Great scanner with fair software but overall a good value for the money.

spangler41, Ebay
9 June 2013
  • Summary: I purchased it to replace a broken Epson scanner. Attractive features include: uses LEDs instead of incandescent light, compact, uses a single USB cable-no PS cable. I don't really like the software. It is too complex and not easy to choose a simple task.

Very Happy With Purchase

BryGuy, Canon
11 February 2013
  • Conclusion: I purchased the CanoScan LiDE 110 through TigerDirect over 1-1/2 years ago - still working great after MANY THOUSANDS of scans. I especially like the low form factor because it fits in the side drawer on my old desk (area which was orginally built for a mouse pad pullout).
  • Pros: Compact Design, durable, Fast Connectivity, High resolution, High-speed scanning, easy to use
