Faster than a speeding bullet...
Reviewer: geekdad, newegg.com1 week ago- Overall 10

I have been researching scanners for a while and decided on this one because of the many comments about the speed and quality of the scans. It scanned an 8x10 photograph at 600dpi in 18secs and the quality was excellent. I purchased it mainly for scanning photos and don't know yet how it works with slides. great quality scanner!
Reviewer: Digiphotog "Novice Photographer", Amazon17 March 2008- Overall 10

Great product!
Reviewer: Eric, review.buy.com16 January 2008- Overall 10

I've only used the scanner a couple of times so far, but it's been everything I'd hoped for. Set-up was a breeze, and the scanner was extremely easy to use. I was able to import images directly into Adobe Photoshop CS. The scans were high quality. I haven't used the film scanning aspect of it yet, but I'm assuming the results will be equally satisfactory. Read more

Scanner question
In October, I bought a new Canon CanoScan 8800F Flatbed to scan family slides, photos and negatives. I wanted something inexpensive ( $200 ) . I realize we all have different standards, but for my purposes, this scanner works fine. Samples: slide...........San Francisco ...1970s photo ....... Rose Parade...
