Summary: Purchased scanner in December 2012 and used sparingly for personal items (receipts, tax forms, etc.). Scanner died November 2014. No longer powers on when plugged in. Since it's outside of 1 the year warranty period, this will end up in a landfill.
Summary: Beware this scanner if you have the latest OSX (10.9). It does not ship with drivers that work. They blame Apple. Their "fix" is to install some other bloatware that comes with it and use that to scan instead of the usual scanner driver.
Summary: Great product! I'm in sales and need to be able to scan and send same day contracts when written out of town, away from my home office. It's user friendly. The only change I think I'd make is leaving the document name blank to enter a new one each time a new document is scanned instead of the name...
Summary: Great scanner. We have a lot of documents that contain important information but don't want to keep too much paper (due to storage space and confidentiality), so we opted to use this scanner to store it in a hard drive.
Summary: No more faxing! Wonderful. I don't know what anyone is talking about that there wasn't a manual. If you follow the instruction it says put the CD in before you do anything else. I did. And poof! I installed all I needed and saved the Manual opening it up and followed its instruction.
Summary: It's portable and works well in that respect. It is also USB powered and works off your laptop battery, so you will not need batteries or to plug it in when you are traveling, which is a nice plus. But two major drawbacks: 1. Won't scan to PDF.
