Excerpt: Have not used the Brother DS-620 Scanner a whole lot yet, but what I have used it, it seems to work well. The size of the Scanner is quite handy in that it fits right into my Computer Bag. That way I can scan items when I am on the road into my Thumb Drive and when I get home I can just put the Thumb Drive in the USB of my Desktop Computer and either save the scans to files or print them on my Desktop Printer.
Excerpt: Scanner works great AND IS easy to operate. Paper flows thru the scanner easily and no jams have been experienced. Scanner is lightweight and portable and seems to work well on all three laptop computers that I have tried it on. I would definitely recommend this scanner to anyone who is looking for a light weight and portable scanner.
Excerpt: I needed this scanner like I needed a whole in my head. But, I was in Staples and this was on the clearance table. It would have been nice if the scanner came apart so it could be used as a wand to scan books and other non-sheet items, but I have a flat bed scanner, so I overlooked that issue. The scanner was easy to set up following the instructions. My scanner has not demonstrated earlier reviewers' issues where the scan interrupts itself partway through.

Summary: This is definitely a good scanner to have if you are drowning in semi-important paperwork like receipts, bills, etc.: Things you may want to reference in the future but that don't deserve to take up physical space in your home. It scans quickly with a good variety of quality, page and format options.
Summary: After a year and a half, this scanner is still serving me well. I scan all my documents and statements into pdf files and store on secured drives. I am now paperless like we did at my work. I have had no issues with this scanner at all. Highly recommend!
Summary: A good quality mobile scanner for my document scanning needs. The software that comes with the scanner is pretty basic so don't expect too much from it. The quality of the image is more than sufficient for documents. One major issue I had with the scanner is that it can be hard to get the page to align well, the feeder is not that great. For my needs some misalignment is no big deal. I would recommend this for home use or if need one on the go.
Summary: Not a bad scanner, but it wont last long. I was using mine a few times a year and after 13 months I could not scan more than one page before I got an error code. After a total of 45 mins on the phone with Brother tech support, I was told I could send it to a facility in TN to get an estimate on what it would cost to repair it. Not sure its worth all that for an $89 scanner. So I guess you get a years worth of use and then throw it away and get a new one.
