Excerpt: In a paperless work environment where I travel between locations, this is my best co-worker. The scan quality is excellent, the scan speed is perfect, and it is light weight and compact enough to easily travel between locations.
Pros: Accurate Color, Easy To Set Up, Good Resolution
Summary: I wanted to use this for two tasks: scan receipts into forms and scan family pictures, but the software that is included is not up to the task. The OCR creates simple text files, so PDFs are your only real option. Scanning pictures produced okay reproductions, but the feed mechanism liked to jam up after 2-3 pictures if the picture had any curve in it. If you want to do PDFs, it is scan quickly, but I could not get it to do any info into forms.
Excerpt: Hello, I bought one of these a month ago. When a woman who works for me saw how good it was, she "borrowed" it and did not bring it back. Therefore, I bought another one. This PDF scanner is fast, clear/clean text, perfect for scanning contracts and single pages. I scanned about 14" of contracts, about two thousand pages. Now, they're organized nicely in my computer and I forwarded them to others so they will not "disappear".
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Efficient, Fast, Quiet, Sharp Detail
Summary: Machine hooked up easily, simply. Scans both sides quickly and handles a good number of pages. Beware staples or paper clips in your documents. Document prep removing staples is important. One drawback is no on/off switch - not a big deal, just unplug AC plug from back and plug back in to re-boot in the event of document feed error(s). Images are plenty good - certainly for my purposes.
Summary: I have had scanners for 15+ years. I needed something "fast" and reliable. This fits the bill, My Canon, HP and others were slow and less than reliable. I love this scanner and rapidly get things into my organization system. Also I can access them as rapidly. Would highly recommend it.
Summary: I bought this to have a lot of scanning done. My previous scanning person has now spent two days. Each day she scanned 700 pages in about five hours. She offered no complaints about breakdowns. I have not used the scanner myself. The other person with use of this scanner also has no complaints. Just based on my introduction to the machine I can add the technical person who installed it had no problem doing so.
Summary: I bought this scanner for my business and use it to scan client's ID cards and paperwork. Pros: - It creates very high quality images - It automatically detects the size of the document and will delete any blank pages (so you can keep it on 2-sided copying, even if only 1 page in your stack has 2 sides) - It's very easy to use. The software is simple. Cons: - It does NOT scan receipts. The paper is too thin and gets crumpled up in the feeder.
Summary: I am returning this scanner. The automatic doc feeder jams with more than 4 pages. Otherwise, the scanner works well and if you do not need to scan larger documents it's fine. I am planning to buy the Fujitsu ScanSnap ix500 because the feedback I have received from owners is the automatic doc feeder works fine. Also, the Fujitsu comes with Adobe Acrobat Standard, a $100 value, so the increased cost of the Fujitsu is offset by better software installed.
Summary: We keep all invoices, requisitions and p.o.'s in electronic form. Scanner saves a lot of steps since I don't have to go down the hall to the multifunction machine we have. Quick installation. Documentation a little skimpy but otherwise excellent product.
Lots of documents? This one is the choice for you!

Summary: Wow. This scanner is awesome. Drop the papers in (small, two sided, magazine, printer paper, doesn't matter) and press a button. The scanner quickly runs them through and eliminates the blank pages. Set up was a breeze. I just have to remember to remove the staples.
