Love this scanner

Summary: I believe the airlines dropped my checked bag from the top of the plane and actually broke the scanner which was inside. Ordering another. Can't work without it!
Pros: Very portable, easy to travel with, scans pages pretty quickly. Works very well with small receipts and thicker items. Have used this scanner for almost 2 years. Travel often and do audit work so no need to transport cumbersome and/or confidential documents.
Summary: This is an older scanner, and there is no longer any image editing software specifically for the scanner. I downloaded Irfanview, and this worked great. Overall, the scanner's capabilities are pretty basic, but it works great for simple tasks, and it's really compact.
Cons: quit working. "on" button got stuck in the down position. dome contour of button hung up on underside of case top causing it to try to feed paper continuously. i powered it off and took out the 4 screws and released the button and smoothed it's edge so it would release after pushing. a week later the nylon paper feed gears began to slip and after that it quit altogether. i'd never buy another one of these. i probably voided the warranty by going through the paper seal...
Summary: We put these in place to replace fax machines for the 1-4 page faxes and they fit the bill.
Pros: We have around 95 employees and I have around 15 of these scanners in place. We have a mix of baby boomers and Gen-x so a good mix of generations. Everyone uses them with ease and loves them at our dealership. Very easy to use, they do not require a power cord (big plus), scans directly to pdf files. Very simple and the scan quality is amazing, plus can be adjusted.
Cons: This is a good 1-4 page scanner, if you are looking for a 5-more pages at a time scanner I would look at the Fijitsu 1500 or better.
