Summary: I searched hard for a great scanner I didn't have to much money to spend. I found this at only $...!!! Looked at the reviews, and confirmed that this is worth it. At this price, this is great scanning quality! Later I noticed that in some magazine they rated scanner's like I thought this is the best quality at such a low price. This is easy to install. Has many color, and deminshion options. Haven't had any problem and had it for almost a year.
Summary: I bought this because of another review- it is totally great. I have't had any problems at all. It installed quickly and without any problems. The software that comes with it is also great. Quality is great. You get more than you pay for!!!
Summary: Just a plug for the scanner - I just ordered one but it's not yet received. Rated the only best buy by 5/01 Consumer Reports for 600 DPI scanners - they loved it. I'll check back in once I've got it set up. Addendum: 11/21/01 - I'm perfectly happy with it; nice quality.
Summary: My 4th Scanner in about 6 years (others Epson, Mustek, UMAX)- this Agfa was the quickest to set-up (plug in after boot-up with USB), install software (good Agfa ScanWise, also Corel Print Office and Readiris OCR), and produce quality scans for web. Specs- 600x1200 optical (then interpolated to 9600 dpi), full page (US), 36 bit, USB I/F, PC/Mac compatible, win 98/2000/Me/Mac OS, quick scan, bit tacky lid, "iMac-colour inserts", lightweight.
Agfa Snapscan E20: Scanner that gets the job done!
12 July 2010
Summary: INTRODUCTION The Agfa Snapscan must have been around since about 1999, which was just about the time I acquired it (and I am still using it). It's a flatbed colour scanner with 600x1200 dpi resolution and 36-bit color depth. It's usb based and its visual look can be customized by switching the handled (with several colours to choose between). FEATURES This scanner is, as mentioned, 600x1200 dpi resolution with 36-bit colour depth.
Pros: Easy to use, comes with image-to-text software
Cons: Not always optimal results when scanning photographs
Excerpt: I order this model of scanner a few months ago now and I am quite impressed with the quality of it. I ordered it from www.buy.com and it only cost £35.00 and received it a couple of days later. As you will probably know when you receive any new hardware for the pc and that goes for software too actually, you have to install it on your pc.
Summary: I'm new to the world of scanners, but am very impressed by the quality of the Agfa Snapscan e20. Setting up is very quick, connect the power cable and the USB cable, then plug it into a free USB slot on the PC. Install the Scanwise software from the CD and then all you have to do is double-click the icon on the desktop and it's ready for use. The ScanWise software is well programmed and it looks good.
Summary: All in all I'm pretty new to the world of scanning. I know my stuff about computers and even printers, but I had never had the need to use a scanner before. So when I got a new PC I wasn't particularly bothered about having a scanner, although I did need a new printer. I didn't want to pay a fortune for the printer as I wasn't going to be doing anything important, so I set out to look for a new, cheap printer.
Summary: Der erste gekaufte e20 läuft jetzt schon ohne Probleme seit ca. 6 Jahren.
