Summary: I used this scanner for a couple months and then it just stopped working. It would scan half a page and freeze. Turning it off and on would allow it to scan another page but freeze on the next one. We'll see if the company gives me a new one or gives me my money back. I probably scanned 150 receipts over two months. I guess that's all it could handle.
Summary: I just received and installed this to my ASUS laptop running WIN7. I loaded most of the software, but found it was too cumbersome to use. I have Nuance's PDF Professional 7, and it recognized the scanner and it works fine with it. I needed this scanner for use when I am traveling so that I don't have to bring all my documents home and scan them there. This Adesso unit was above average cost, but had several good reviews.
Summary: I don't need a scanner very often, but it's handy to have one in my home office for when I do. This scanner works well as long as you feed the paper in smoothly and straight, the software loaded easily and is fairly easy to get to grips with, and it comes with a handy mounting bracket which I used to mount it on the end of my desk. I think it's a little odd that when it is mounted you have to feed in the paper you want to scan from the bottom up, but it's not a big deal.
Summary: This product is not compatible with Windows 8 as advertised on Adesso's product page. No additional drivers are provided, scanner cannot be recognized as a valid device by the operating system, Adesso is unresponsive and offers no support, CD does not run.
Summary: The scanner is ultra portable and works well for the most part. The only issue I have had with it is the trimming of edges on the scanned copies. The entire sheet of paper goes through the scanner; however the edges are not captured. Otherwise, good value scanner and satisfied with purchase.
