  • Excerpt: Well, the headline says it all. Can't figure out, why the digital result is really noisy. Same film I scan on a different scanner and the difference is obvious.
  • Pros: Easy To Set Up, Good Resolution, Widely Compatible
  • Cons: Difficult to Keep Clean, Inaccurate Color, Inaccurate Scans, Poor Bit Depth

  • Excerpt: Great product! Simple to use. Great price! Copies 35mm slides without editing. 35mm negatives were a little blue but that may be due to ageing. The accompanying software, however, allows you to make satisfactory color corrections.
  • Pros: Easy To Set Up, Excellent Software, Good Bit Depth, Good Resolution
  • Cons: Inaccurate Color

  • Excerpt: although scanner is easy to set up, the images were not good. I tried several different settings to try to achieve acceptable results but to no avail. Scans were consistently over contrast and did not reproduce fine details.
  • Pros: Easy To Set Up
  • Cons: Poor Resolution

Adesso EZScan 1000 Film Scanner - 1800 dpi Optical

  • Summary: I have a lot of slides & film strips so I was looking forward to the arrival of this item. When it arrived I immediately downloaded the accompanying cd. There is a learning curve to correctly adjust contrast, color, brightness etc. Some of the film strips transferred a little darker but I am sure that with a little practice I will master this. One thing that does disturb me is when you boot up the computer it looks for the scanner.

Not compatible with Windows 7 - 64 bit

ChessPlaya, Amazon
14 September 2012
  • Summary: I installed the software in my desktop with windows 7 64bit. Installation was pretty straight forward. I purchased primarily for converting my old 35mm negatives. The scanned pic shows horizontal block of lines. I tried installing in my friends PC with XP. It scanned correctly but the quality is really poor. I compared it with the ones I got from Costco and its absolutely night and day in terms of quality. I have returned it and purchase an EPSON V600 instead.
