Summary: The saw worked very well and I'm glad I ordered the variable angle model. However I had to bring it to Porter-Cable after my first use of the saw because the front swivel wouldn't move. They replaced the defective unit with a new one.
Summary: This is the 4th 9750 I've gone through, it's tough and powerful enough for whatever i'm cutting out, usually in tight spaces or between joists. only grip is that the gear holding the blade wears out after about 2 years of hard work and and it's impossible to get a straight cut after that, but with...
Summary: This saw is expensive but as a former fencing and decking contractor I have to say that it is definitely worth the money. It is also the most powerful tool at 11.5 amps. For this reason it is heavier than some others which another reviewer complained about.
Summary: Wow. Porter - Cable along with Milwaukee was the only saws all you would see on the jobs. I owned one of each for the past 25 years and both lasted a long long time with no problems. This contraption should not have the porter cable name. What a discrace.
Summary: I have had my Tiger Saw for well over 15 years now.............. and I have constructed entire houses and numerous remodels and repairs in the USA......... and let lead carpenters normally use the saw. It has always worked these many thousands of times perfectly.
Summary: this is one of the best tools i have ever used. i have been a professional builder, carpenter and remodeler for over thirty years and i have seen lots of fad tools come and go. however, this tool has earned a special place in my kit for its' outstanding performance.
Summary: This was cool at first, probably after 20 uses, maybe fewer, the chuck started getting a little shaky, and later began to rotate, making it difficult to cut smoothly and in a straight line. It now swivels 3/8", and is useless for fine surgical demo work. Just use it for hacking now.
