Summary: Fantastic, this is a must have for anyone doing various metal work. Unbelievable, ripping sheet metal fast as a skill saw can rip a sheet of plywood. The more that I use this saw, the better I like it. When working with metal you likely need one these saws real bad and may not know it yet.
Summary: I am beyond impressed with this saw. I bought it because I needed to cut several hundred linear feet of 10awg steel. This saw did exactally what I bought it for effortlessly. I also took it for a test drive and was able to cut 1" thick steel plate and 2-1/2" rigid conduit like butter. The only thing that I am dissapointed with (although has nothing to do with the saw) is that if the blade pinches it is easy to break the carbide on the blade trying to unjam the blade.
Summary: I bought one of these at work and 2 days later I ordered one for home. I used it to build my Jeep and cut a whole sheet of 3/16 plate and lots of 2,3 and 4 inch square tube 3/16, some 3/8 and 1/2 plate with the same blade. Amazing! Cuts like butter. I used a guide so it cut perfectly straight and I think that helps the blade life. The blade at work doesn't last as long but the guys dont use a guide.
Summary: Great tool, bought it for 2 specific projects, building stairs with 10" c-channel stringers and for some compound beveled cuts on steel tube (more on that below). It cut the C-channel like i was cutting 2x12 with a good sharp worm drive circ saw with mininimal cleanup as others have noted. Note that, unlike a conventional circ saw, it is very had to see your blade hitting your mark.
Summary: This saw does exactly what it was born to do. Installed 24Ga 5v crimp on my own home, now we're doing a buddies. Would recomend finer tooth blade instead of the one that it comes with. Excellent tool almost as good as a cold or shear cut. Thanks Milwaukee. C.J. Velek Sebastian,Fl.
