Summary: I purchased this blade to cut 1/8" mild steel plate. The plate was clamped down to a heavy steel workbench and a stable guide The initial cuts were very smooth as most reviewers described. It became increasingly difficult to advance the tool after the first couple cuts.
Summary: Great tool, bought it for 2 specific projects, building stairs with 10" c-channel stringers and for some compound beveled cuts on steel tube (more on that below). It cut the C-channel like i was cutting 2x12 with a good sharp worm drive circ saw with mininimal cleanup as others have noted.
Summary: Fantastic, this is a must have for anyone doing various metal work. Unbelievable, ripping sheet metal fast as a skill saw can rip a sheet of plywood. The more that I use this saw, the better I like it. When working with metal you likely need one these saws real bad and may not know it yet.
Summary: I bought one of these at work and 2 days later I ordered one for home. I used it to build my Jeep and cut a whole sheet of 3/16 plate and lots of 2,3 and 4 inch square tube 3/16, some 3/8 and 1/2 plate with the same blade. Amazing! Cuts like butter.
Summary: I am beyond impressed with this saw. I bought it because I needed to cut several hundred linear feet of 10awg steel. This saw did exactally what I bought it for effortlessly. I also took it for a test drive and was able to cut 1" thick steel plate and 2-1/2" rigid conduit like butter.
Great for the weekend metal worker! Worth every penny!!!

Summary: I was a notconvinced that this would be that great for cutting metal, but boy was I wrong! We built a wood splitter for my skidloader similiar to the T.M. splitter only built out of alot heavier iron. Every thing wsas made out of 1/2" iron except for the gussets on the mounting bracket.
