Summary: The Milwaukee 18-Volt Sawzall Cordless is perfect for the impending Zombie Apocalypse! It rips through all known substances like they are not there, including Zombie hoards and being cordless allows you to take the fight to them. The weight of the Sawzall is another excellent feature. It helps prevent the blade from jumping around when getting though tough material, like Zombie spines, and also makes a great club when the batteries run dry.
Summary: This saw is Great! Feels great, performs great, all around a very nice tool. This tool does work with both compact and XC Red Lithium batteries, which is also a big plus!! BEWARE When buying from Audrey13 though. This product is advertised as new, but the unit i received from them was clearly refurbished. They went out of there way to make things right with me, but still, just beware of that..
Summary: This is an awesome sawzall, except it eats up battery like there's no tomorrow. After using this for 5-10 minutes on full speed, it drains more than 50% of my battery. It's good for quick cuts here and there, but not suitable for prolonged continuous use. Get a corded sawzall in the same model.
Summary: This was purchase in a kit 2 years ago with a drill and saw. The Li-ion batteries where horrible worse than Ni-Cad at the time. Back then they had a 5 year warranty. 3 months ago the Milwaukee rep comes by sees his tools sitting in the corner. He hands over new M18 Red Li-ion batteries. What a world of difference. This saw now cuts 6 - 4x4s on 1 charge Saw has good blade speed and the quick release blade mechanism is the best. The overhead protection is annoying....
Summary: I like this this saw a lot. Its well made, the blade change is easy, and has good power. For a couple of quick cuts this is the saw I would grab. The battery is the weak link in the Milwaukee m18 line. The XC battery just doesn't last. I've had times when three batteries aren't enough. They die fast and take an hour to charge.
Summary: I also purchased this and found that the standard capacity M18 battery does not work. This requires their high capacity M18 battery part number 48-11-1828. It runs about $100 right now on amazon. This info should be in the listing. I should add, tool works great.
Summary: The sawzall is great, it replaced my old junk ryobi corded one after 6 years of off and on use. The rubber over mold is great for long term use and really feels comfortable in the hand. Electric brake is a nice feature if you don't want to wait for the blade to stop every time you make another cut. Of all the 18v cordless recip saws, this one has probably the BEST weight balance (with the XC battery), which is crucial in reducing fatigue especially after just a few cuts.
Summary: I have three different 18V Milwaukee tools. All less than 3 months old. They all take different 18v batteries. Great tools, but 3 different batteries stinks in terms of cost and compatibility.
Milwaukee 18 volt sawzall cordless reciprocating saw

Summary: This is a good overall quality saw. One note to mention was the decription lacked enough information on what battery this saw takes. It does take an 18 volt battery, but check with Milwaukee to learn exactly what type of 18 volt. The 18 volt battery I had wouldn't fit this saw. So, I had to buy another 18 volt that would work.
