Summary: DO NOT BUY THIS SAW! This saw replaced my Dewalt 12" fixed miter saw and it falls far short of the dewalt. Look closely at the cutting capacity both vertical and flat and you will see what I mean. I can no longer put 5-1/4" base standing against the fnce and cut it. The bevel is only 0 to 45...no more. This is a very poorly designed saw. Stay away!
Summary: Right out of the box it was ready to go. Very good accuracy and well balanced. However, changing the blade is cumbersome and an iimprovement to the access cover to the blade shaft nut could be made. The cover should have a parking position to keep it out of the way while loosening and tightening the blade nut.
Solid saw and light enough to easily carry outside

Summary: I've used this saw during some major house renovations. The saw works great, for the money it would be hard to find a more solid saw. The bevel gauge does not have positive stops but the miter gauge does for most major angles. The blade that it comes with will cut crown molding very smoothly without any marks, it is almost not worth the hassle of switching it out for a high tooth blade.
Summary: Wonderful saw, light weight, cuts wonderful, right out of the box. Have older 9 inch chop saw that will be used for cutting fire-wood for smoker know, since new addition. We'll be looking forward to, doing a lot more projects around house. Quality was beyond, what I expected.
Summary: If you just need to do basic compound miter work, or just use this saw to chop wood to length, this is the saw for you. Where I work, we build shipping wood crates for industrial diesel engine parts that we sell, so we cut a lot of wood down to length. We were replacing a Makita 14" chop saw that we had used for 20+ years and were worried that the build quality wouldn't be the same, but this saw delivers.
