Summary: I been using this saw to to cut both small moldings and pressure treated 4x4s. Performance is top notch. The box arrived a little beat up which concerned me initially, but the saw was fine and all the parts accounted for. My only gripe is the lack of a laser. I added the 22 dollar Irwin, installed it in minutes and it was dead nuts on from the get go. Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
Excerpt: I picked up this saw because I needed to upgrade to 12" and it was such a good price. Great saw, great blade, Very quiet! Cant even tell it's a re-furb... The only thing I had to get used to was when you hit the power button the saw tends to jump upward slightly. My old saw had just one button and did not have a safty button. Great saw! Now if I could only find such a deal on a table saw....
Pros: Easy To Use, Good Design, Great Blade, Powerful, Safe
Excerpt: A friend has the same model saw. He is rough on equipment so I knew the saw was dependable. So far, I am very satisfied with my purchase and it was a great price and even better with the rebate I received.
Excerpt: I am rehabbing a 4 story appartment complex with no elevators. This saw is very easy to carry up the many stairs. Has enough capacity to cut 4" PVC pipe, medium size crown, and good size base molding. My reconditioned saw had a few dings in the aluminum table but otherwise looked new. Very happy with purchase.
Pros: Easy to carry, Easy To Use, Good Design, Light Weight
Summary: This 12 inch saw stacks up and surpasses probably all other 10" and 12" non-sliding miter saws. The solid swing arm design makes for precise cuts. It has the best turn-table release mechanism in the industry. Very easy to read angle numbers. It has a removable elevated fence plate for tall/wide mouldigs.
Pros: Fence (for both sides) is molded as one. If not perfectly molded or bends... accuracy probems.
Cons: Fence (for both sides) is molded as one. If not perfectly molded or bends... accuracy probems.
