Summary: This saw is a beast with plenty of power. The only concern is that it is not variable speed. It has a dial that changes the speed but once you set the dial and pull the trigger then you are off and running. It is difficult to easy into a cut with the blade running at the predetermined speed. With variable speed you can start the cut very slowly and once you have the cut started on the righ tline then you can run up to a faster speed.
The Tree Cutting Demolitioning Recip saw of my dreams!

Summary: Finally got around to a review of this after having owned it for a year or more, due to a couple reasons. I hadn't used it until recently. I have a cordless version of Makita's recip which I use most of the time on normal repair jobs. A lot of my work requires a greater degree of precision and after attempting to use this when I was so used to my cordless, well... issues arose. First off- this saw is a BEAST.
