Summary: Love this saw. has lived up to it's advertisement. love having the capacity to make angled, bevel cuts in 5/4 X 6 deck stock. I would definitely recommend this saw to a friend. Great saw Hitachi!
Summary: As stated above, this is simply the best saw ever made and it's been in constant production for over twenty years. That in itself should tell you all you need to know. One caveat: The early Japanese made saw is better than the later Chinese made saws. Still head an shoulders above the rest.
Summary: Overall this has been the perfect choice for my current project of overhauling a duplex. I choose it because I wanted a sliding compound miter saw that wasn't too expensive and was a lot more portable than a full size 10 or 12 inch model. It cuts everything smoothly with ease, even treated 2x12s.
Summary: On the scale of 1-10 I\u2019d give the saw 6. The laser beam isn\u2019t square to the pencil line off my precision square. The cuts are not truly square either. The hold down clamp is rather Mickey-mouse as well.
Summary: The first saw I received was 3/32" inch out of alignment front to back (no way to adjust this), the lens was off the light and the sliding action was rough. Sent saw back and received another new one.The second saw was a good usable saw. I think products need more alignment checks before shipping.
Summary: This product was shipped in the manufacturer's box with no additional protection. The exterior of the box was badly damaged as well as the interior packing material. As a result, the saw was also damaged. I need the saw for a job I'm doing so returning it at this time is not an option.
Summary: My Pastor requested I make an altar for the church, designed by an architect. I had a 10" radial arm saw that was about 25 years old and not accurate enough to provide the required miter joints. I bought a Hitachi 8 1/2" C8FSHE Sliding Compound Miter Saw which had the ability
Summary: My father had this saw as I was growing up. We had used that saw for every thing. That same saw never had a flaw. It still is in use with my brother whom is now a contractor. So when it came time to buy mine it was not hard to choose.
