Summary: For me, it came down to the 55 or 75. I choose the TS75 for its depth of cut, I now own the 55 as well, but can honestly say, I use the 75 more. Its a costly saw, but if you own any other festools, you know that they are worth it. Some people compare the weight of the 2 saws, but why are you carrying it around some much that you have to complain about the weight. Great saw, I love, track was damage in shipping but in 24 hrs I had a new.
Summary: I think the guy who wrote that review may have difficulties following directions, or possibly jumped in over his head. First off a quality cabinet saw for the same money (no). Secondly by his rather lengthly rambling it would appear english may be a second language. This is a fine tool which set up without problems, works like silk and is portable, powerful and safe. Thanks Festool this is a great system.
Quality is quality, good design is good design, both make life easier

Excerpt: I am somewhat new to woodworking but have done a few successful projects. Much of what I have had to do is break down large sheets for cabinet projects in the shop, built in cabinets, etc. Trying to do that by yourself on a table saw is difficult and I just can’t seem to get my wife interested in helping ;-). There is always a debate about the cost of tools and value. Time for me is the most precious resource.
Excerpt: We purchased the TS 75 Plunge Saw a few months ago after another regular circular saw fried on me again. I am not a contractor or a woodworking professional; but, I do expect things to work for more than a couple of years. I chose the TS 75 after being fortunate enough to use a friends TS 55 to rough out the pieces for a couple of book cases. Power:The 75 has plenty of power to cut my sheet goods and rough lumber to usable dimensions with lots to spare.
Summary: this is the best tool i have ever bought. its cuts are clean, accurate and easy. i always buy dewalt tools for my projects but since i looked into festools i am an addict for festool. i actually enjoyed my amature woodworking hobbies with this saw. i love everything about it hence order more tools.
Summary: As all Festool products, this saw seems to be expensive, but not really considering the quality of the tool and its features! For overall quality, Festools are the best value for the money. trite, but so true, "you get what you pay for", and this ceretainly is no exception.
Excerpt: This is a very good and accurate saw used with the guide rail system. The TS 75 is a little underpowered and the blade can walk through thicker stock. Through thicker stuff slow down feed rate. Other than that this leaves you with a smooth straight cut. If used with the MFT it make a portable and accurate panel saw with jobsite production capabilities. Our next purchase will be the TS 55. It is rare that we need the depth and weight of the 75.
Excerpt: This is the best saw I have ever used. The quality of the cut is amazing, better than my table saw. So far this saw has chewed through anything I tried to cut. The safety features are also great. The blade is very enclosed and retractes automatically when you complete the cut. This version is bigger and heavier than the TS55, so if you have to lug it around and don't need the extra depth, you might want to go with the smaller version.
Pros: Easy To Use, Good Design, Great Blade, Powerful, Safe
