Summary: Really useful tool, especially as a job-site replacement for a contractor table saw. Having cut panels on a contractor style table saw, I can promise that he track saw is much faster and easier to use, makes much cleaner cuts and only requires one person to do the cut. Leaves a really nice clean edge.
Pros: Cuts perfectly straight panels
Cons: Kit should include the DeWalt track clamps. It's pretty useless without them and no other clamps will work.
Summary: After looking at these for a few years I took the plunge and now I wonder how we made it without it for all these years. We purchased it for breaking down sheet goods, but found it is perfect for cutting rough lumber square on one edge before it goes to the tablesaw. I agree with one of the other reviews also, that the Dewalt Clamps are a must have for this as well.
Summary: I have been wanting this for a few years now. I finally coughed up the money and bought it. Well worth the money. Reatively easy to set up. I can see myself using this much more than I had imagined. I researched this saw a lot and found the best price here at Tool Up, I also found a 20 dollar coupon online. Great saw at a great price.
Summary: This saw is fantastic. I bought it to build a built-in cabinet/bookcase out of mdf & it made the job a lot easier. I am an advanced amateur with some commercial background when I was in my 20's. I have used all sorts of commercial & home made straight edges over the years & this is far better. This tool bridges the gap for those that don't have/want a large cabinet saw or big outfeed tables.
Summary: This is a great tool for making precise and perfectly straight rips with the saw and rabbets and dadoes with the router attachment. Spring for the Dewalt clamps because any top clamping of the rail interferes with the saw. My only complaint is that the track is a little short for ripping 8' plywood because the adjustable front and rear guides on the saw do not fully engage for the entire length of the cut.
