Dewalt Circular Saw Kit.

A. Dixon "Captain Ron", Amazon
29 July 2013
  • Summary: The saw came in record time from the tool company. It included a carrying case, blade, instructions and all. It arrived in perfect condition and was well packed. Upon my initial use, I was impressed with the power yet lighter weight than my prior circular saw. The price was very competitive and included freight. Can't ask for more.

good saw

claud, Amazon
28 May 2012
  • Summary: Bought this saw at Amazon to get the kit box included for the same price as just saw locally. I'm no carpenter, but it has sawed 120 3 foot 2 x 6 pieces from 2 x 6 x 10 lumber in the last two weeks. I have not changed the blade other than an initial one from a framing blade to a finer(more teeth) framing blade. Very happy with the saw and as always, very happy with Amazon price and service.

Works wonderfully

D. Wheeler, Amazon
21 July 2011
  • Summary: I recently picked up this saw to work on some railing around our carport. I have a 18v battery powered circular saw but it just wasn't up to the task. The 18v simply wasn't enough juice to cut safely through pressure treated lumber like I had hoped. I got a lot of kick back which wasn't very safe. With the new Dewalt corded circular saw I have had no problems whatsoever thus far on my project and I am confident this is much safer as power is consistent and predictable.

Best Saw for the Money Available

D. Draper, Amazon
13 July 2011
  • Summary: I recently bought the Dewalt DW368K during a Amazon sale and Dewalt promotion. Have been handling all the top brand saws at Home Depot for awhile and really liked the feel and light weight of the Dewalt best. So, when the opportunity arose to get this quality saw and case on sale, I popped. The bevel function is very easy to adjust and makes accurate cuts, and the light weight is very noticeable over my old Craftsman, which was just sold on Craigslist (good riddance).

Satisfied with Dewalt again

David Riebau, Amazon
27 September 2007
  • Summary: The main thing about any power tool is don't bog it down, keep up the RPM's and blow out the dust from the motor every once in awhile and any brand will last for years. As I am getting older, I wanted a light tool and still have plenty of power. This is the best circular saw I have ever owned. Light and powerful. You can spend more, but this Dewalt saw is all you will ever need.

Good Power For Rough Work

Western Woodworker, Amazon
24 September 2004
  • Summary: This saw was purchased to replace an underpowered Black & Decker, which bogged down when ripping hardwood trim for bookcases and cabinets. The power of this saw is excellent, although DeWalt's own rip fence flopped around in the slot so badly that the trim cuts were practically useless. I tried putting tape around the rip fence to steady it in the slot, but it didn't help much.

No brake despite what Amazon says

David Riebau, Amazon
4 June 2004
  • Summary: I bought this saw instead of the comparable Hitachi because it was a bit lighter and more powerfull. The product details said it has an electric brake, an essential safety feature in my opinion, but it DOES NOT! I will be returning mine and purchasing another, but not from Amazon.

nice saw, nice price

sammy "vandy fan", Amazon
10 May 2004
  • Summary: Luckily, I haven't noticed the flex in the base that was mentioned by a previous reviewer. I have used this saw for several small projects and am very happy with it. I do recommend adding the Dewalt edge guide, which is available from Amazon. It slips into a slot on the base and is held in place by a bolt. The edge guide helps in starting and keeping the cut square.

Too much flexibility

"oakman608", Amazon
14 February 2003
  • Summary: This saw is a step up from my old black and decker, and the saw has plenty of power. But...the sole plate connection is way too flexible. It is only connected to the body of the saw by a piece of plastic housing that is about an inch wide. As I made a few test cuts the saw would not keep a 90 degree angle. The connection would flex and I would end up with a cut that was beveled 2 or 3 degrees. To me that is unacceptable for a tool costing this much.
