Nice saw, so-so value

Dutch T, CPO
16 May 2013
  • Excerpt: This reconditioned saw arrived in good-as-new condition. It appears to be a nice compromise between size/weight and power for me, a do-it-yourselfer. However, a few days after it arrived, I noticed the exact same saw selling brand new at a local big box store for about the same amount, taking into account the shipping.
  • Pros: Convenient Blade Changing, Good Design, Powerful
  • Cons: Soft Nylon Case

Nice saw, worthless carrying case

Rehabber Chuck, CPO
26 March 2013
  • Excerpt: Complaining about a carrying case seems minor, but the images of this product show/showed a hard case included. The hard case offers a much higher level of protection than a soft case at the jobsite. CPO customer service told me that description just says "carrying case included", and that the pictures used in the advertisement "do not necessarily depict actual product"?!? Really?? The box that my saw was shipped in also shows a picture of the hard case. Disappointed.
  • Pros: Easy To Use
  • Cons: Not As Advertised Case

Works Great

Mark S, CPO
5 February 2013
  • Excerpt: I just used the saw for the first time yesterday and now I don't know why I waited so long to buy a reciprocating saw. The saw tore through some old stair treads made of 2 x 12s with ease including the large nails holding them in place. I gave the saw a 5 star rating for performance but I have not used it enough to judge it's durability.

  • Excerpt: A sawsall is used for remo tearout. This does the job. Always worried about pinching my left hand, but this has a guard over the mechanism.
