Summary: I make my living gardening. This saw has saved me tons of time, especially cutting underground roots and removing small shrubs and trees. It's great for pruning too. You need to get the pruning blades and lots of extras. Been through 4 of these saws because I'm really tough on them, but most could be repaired if I bothered to take them into the shop. Dewalt service centers will recondition them for $50. I wear out the brushes and triggers with sand.
Summary: I got this to cut tight spaces in cork flooring for my loft. It works great. I have never used this saw before, and instructions are clear. It is easy to use, blades are super easy to install/remove, and they can be loaded horizontally as well.
Summary: This is your tool. Was not happy to find the saw does not come with a blade, but, the multi-directional blade adjustment was the reason I bought this saw in the first place and I am not disappointed. Cuts through treated 4x4's like butter. If you need to add a saw to your tool collection, you won't be disappointed with this one.
Very tough tool, the keyless chuck feature is worth the extra cost.

Summary: I have had this saw for about 5 years. At the time of purchase I debated getting this model or another brand that was less money but required a screwdriver to change the blade. I have never regretted the decision to get this one. It is so handy to be able to lift the lever and release the blade to switch out to a different blade, or to replace one that is dull.
Summary: I'm a carpenter and take on residential remodeling jobs year round with this little "homeowner's toy". I'm still trying to destroy the one I bought six years ago with probably over 2,000 hrs. on it. The piston-cage on the DW304 provides safe, smooth, maintenance-free operation at a mere 10 amp. Reviewers who found a lack of power or quality in this saw should look into buying a decent blade or maybe just hiring someone else to do demo for them.
Summary: Bought this tool as I began demolition of my bathroom. From old nails to framing members and old cast iron pipe, this tool cut everything with ease. The quick release blade makes swapping cutting blades super easy. Definitely a must for every toolbox.
Summary: I used a smaller dewalt saw like this to cut demolish a 80 year old 8 bay garage. Overall it was a 6 month process because I was the only guy working on it fore the most part. I tried to kill that saw, it just wouldn't not die no matter how much I abused it. No matter how hot it got, if it had electricity it would keep working. So near the end of the job I started to get help, so we bought this saw.
Summary: Purchased this for the repurposing of pallet boards. OMG - too much fun. This saw works well and is built tough. I felt (for a lady) it was easy enough to maneuver and manipulate. We are using the heck out of it and would def buy it again. I am sure there are a lot of purposes beyond what we do, but if you're into repurposing wood I don't know how you could live without one. Love it!
