Good for general cuts, not fine work

John the builder, CPO
14 October 2014
  • Excerpt: I use this saw for general construction work. Cutting 2x4s to size, making quick cuts where the quality of the edge is not important. It's small, fairly light and handy. I bought the 20v MAX combo kit with the larger batteries, all of them have gotten a LOT of use. The thing that I like about all of these tools, this saw included is that with the battery mounted all of them are really well balanced.
  • Pros: DURABLE, Easy To Use, Good Design, Well balanced
  • Cons: Slow Cutting Speed, Underpowered

One solid saw!

Maintainer.NC, CPO
22 July 2014
  • Excerpt: This cordless saw has plenty of speed and power for just about any cutting job. It goes through 2x6 pressure treated lumber like it's butter. Controls and handle are comfortable and it's not too loud either. One small mark against it is that there's no real system to move sawdust out of the operator's area. Other saws I've had used a small chute at the base of the saw guard to funnel sawdust to the side.
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Fast Cutting Speed, Great Blade, Powerful

"Can't wait to use my new saw!"

CBear2, CPO
20 May 2014
  • Excerpt: Have not used it yet but I used Dewalt 18V products and other Dewalt 20V MAX products. I still use my Dewalt 18V Drill but now I am moving to the Dewalt 20V MAX line. The biggest problem with a hand saw is the cord either getting in way when cutting or getting caught on something when cutting. This should be a great product.

20 volt saw

mtswampfox, CPO
4 March 2014
  • Excerpt: Have the 18volt but have upgradef all tools to 20 volt . The quality is apparent as soon as you pull the trigger. More than enough power to slice thru the plywood in first project with new saw.
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Fast Cutting Speed, Powerful

Wow, is this saw sweet

Jim, CPO
16 January 2014
  • Excerpt: When I first pulled the trigger I thought it was faulty as it made such little noise compared to every hand saw I ever used. It was working fine and ripped a 2x6 better than my wired skil saw. I order a 4amp battery immediately as I only had 1.5's and ordered this bare. If you don't have this saw you have no idea what you are missing. Get one!
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Fast Cutting Speed, Good Design, Great Blade, Long Run Time, Powerful, quiet, Safe
