Summary: I was all ready to hear and enjoy XM at home just like I do in my office. Make sure you purchase the card (mini tuner)with this product...the picture is misleading. Then I had to also purchase the out door antenna with the 50 foot extension cord (2 more items)to run through basement due to the fact that the included antenna does not reach the south side window....but wait you will still have to have your basic coax cable extension to connect to outdoor antenna.
Summary: This Home Dock is exactly that... *Just a Dock!* If you buy this please keep in mind that you will need to buy the Radio Tuner separately. All in all it was very expensive to buy both of these items! I could have probably just bought a whole new radio for the cost. Then, add to that the huge expense of having 2 radios activated with XM (They give a *very* paltry discount for activating another radio). VERY expensive.
Summary: This home dock is great. It is small out of the way and works perfectly. It has better sound quality the Siris. I actually stopped my Sirius subscription and changed over to XM. The sound is 100% better.
Summary: I recently purchased a new pioneer receiver that has the built in capability to work with the mini tuner. It is quite a bit easier to use than the separate tuner I had previously. Good product and integration with the new receiver. I only had one issue with the purchase in that I did not realize the tuner card had to be purchased separately. I thought it was part of the radio dock. The description could have been clearer.
Summary: If you have an E1XM, you must get the satellite antenna. Yes, there is a subcription cost ($13) a month for XM only, but it's worth it for the amazing varity and clean signal/sound. There are actually 3 parts to the antenna that you must have. 1. Satellite antenna, aimed outside. 2. Radio reciver tuner holder, that the antenna plugs into. 3. Tuner module which plugs into the holder, which plugs into the E1XM. I really enjoy XM radio for its content, and clean signal.
Summary: No problems. Moves around a lot due to it's light wieght. I have mine behind the stereo, since I never plan on removing the mini tuner. Works just fine. I dont't use the antenna that came with it. I use a coax type antenna.
