FEIN MultiMaster Cordless Kit AFMM 14 Review
15 August 2013
Excerpt: Everyone has that one tool they could never live without. For some people it’s as simple as a pencil. For others, it’s an accurate level or a trusty hammer. But for me, it’s the Fein MultiMaster—which is why I jumped at the opportunity to review Fein’s 14.4V Cordless MultiMaster). This German engineered tool has been around since 1967, but I purchased my first MultiMaster in 2008, when I was renovating my house.
Excerpt: Ever since Fein's oscillating patent expired in 2008, a number of companies have brought oscillating tools to market. Some of them are quite good, but none has yet to match the versatility, precision, and quality of the groundbreaking Fein MultiMaster. For those not familiar with the MultiMaster, it's a hand-held multi-tool that operates by high-speed oscillation rather than rotating or reciprocating motion.
Pros: High torque motor, Tool-less accessory changes, Electronic speed setting, Extensive range of accessories, Ability to attach dust extractor and drill stand, Precise control
