Summary: The true test of a vendor is not when everything goes perfectly, but rather, how that vendor reacts when things go wrong. We encountered a problem initially. Chris went far beyond the normal level of customer service, and I commend him for it. This is an increasingly rare commodity in today's world.
Summary: Factory default settings didn't function. Because of communication problems ( tech help was in India) I was unable to configure modem with my existing ISP. Still have it though because I may need it sometime.
Summary: Easily installed with Internet-browser interface, works well. Glitch: it will not allow its connection to be changed from 192.168.1.1 and if you make the attempt then you will have to reset the modem and start over. If you don't change from 192.168.1.1 then the device is essentially perfect.
Summary: its been a little over a month I have used it, so far no issues. I would have given this a 5 star if the configuration was not a nightmare. it took me about 3 hours to configure it and the manual is of no use. CenturyLink customer care and technical support was as BS as ever.
Summary: I use this modem with the ISP Speakeasy, at regular DSL speeds of 3.0/768. The modem does what a modem is supposed to do. I only use it in bridging mode, and use a wi-fi router to provide access to the rest of the home; so I haven't tried much of the routing functionality.
Summary: The wrong items was received. I Ordered the ZyXEL P-600R-ELNK; they shipped a different #. Returning the item and getting credit was, however, no problem. I already own a ZyXEL P-600r-ELNK and have had no probems with it.
