Summary: Purchased this gateway to replace my Actiontec 300 Mbps Wireless-N DSL Modem Router (GT784WN) which developed daily periods of flakiness where my DSL speed would drop from 12Mbit to 1Mbit for a few hours every evening. I selected the ZyXEL because it was supposed to be more enterprise grade, used by many ISPs, etc, so I thought it would be more reliable. Wrong!
Works if it an be activated ONLY by service supplier. Ask 1st!

Summary: All four wireless routers could not be activated through my carrier. They use the same router, but theirs are factory programed. These will not function. I must buy theirs or continue to rent them at a monthly fee.
Summary: Searched and searched for a new ADSL2+ modem that had good IPv6 support (or any for that matter). Some said they did, but did not. Bought and returned a half a dozen from various sources before I came upon this one from Zyxel. Was very happy with their modems on my BBS back in the day and this one said it supported IPv6, so I got it. The firmware on it had nothing in it about IPv6.
Summary: I ordered this because I have two of their WAP3205 network bridges. They work so sell I thought this would be a good choice, but it came to be overwhelming to try to get it going with AT&T so I returned it. The bridges were a bit of a challenge, but one reviewer has all the steps lined up and they both work well.
Summary: We purchased this model for the following specs: IvP6 compatible, ADSL2+ compliant, and wireless. Setting up a wired connection was relatively painless, but setting up wireless was a 4hour nightmare I wouldn't wish on anyone. We had several calls in to our ISP and to Zyxel for troubleshooting.
A feature-rich gateway for technical people or tech support callers.

Summary: When considering an ADSL gateway for my aunt's Qwest/CenturyLink service, I chose this Zyxel P-660HN-51 and it's working quite well so far, one month in. If you're looking for an all-in-one router+adsl2 gateway, this has got to be one of the best options. What does it have? Wireless-N 2.4Ghz @ 300Mbps. ADSL2+ support. IPv6 support. QoS support. WPS support. WPA2 security (seems obvious, but her Actiontec gateway that just died only had WEP!) What is it missing?
