  • Summary: Works way better than the previous ZyXel, which was limited. This model router has a stronger strength which translates into better connections. Transferring from on model to this newer model was easy.

  • Summary: We have used the standard version for quite some time so we were apprehensive about the V2 (Version 2)- so far we have used three of these and they are working quite well, the new software has many features you only find in expensive units. We install Wifi in Commercial and residential settings as well as outdoors. The NBG4615 continue to deliverer reliable service for a great price point. We did like the White ones V1, but after a few years they yellow.

  • Summary: This device has all the options you need to set up your network to what you need. It also has great monitoring tools on it. Wireless strength is fantastic. I have this setup in a building using wireless through framed walls and brick walls with no problem. I would highly recommend this product to anyone needing to setup their wireless network.

Works well in our application

  • Summary: USB network printing requires installation of software which is trouble free. We just installed the SW on all our PC's. To the user it appears the printer is attached directly to the PC's USB port. If you have an all-in-one you can even scan. If your printer allows you can check the ink supply etc, etc. We use it as a Wireless Access Point so the DHCP function is turned off. That may account for the outstanding reliability.
  • Pros: Reliable reasonable, low cost for the features gigabit LAN USB port allows network printing which we found to be transparent to the user, reliable and trouble free
  • Cons: none for us. This is not a negative but if you are using NBG 4615 as a Wireless Access Point with another device acting as the DHCP server you might want to change the range of IP addresses in the IP address pool used by the DHCP server in order to simplify some operations eg remote management of the NBG 4615 and wireless printing. The NBG 4615 manual has an appendix with the most complete and understandable discussion of IP addressing that I found anywhere including ...

Cheap Way to Extend Home Network

Boyd M Miner, Amazon
30 June 2012
  • Summary: I purchased this to extend my home network and it was very easy to install and set up. I have a three story house and my main wireless router was on the top floor. My wireless signal was weak in the bottom floor and I wanted to extend the wired connection and add a second wireless signal on the main level. It was as easy as installing it and plugging it in. Then I changed the password so I would only need one password for my entire houses wireless network.

Meets all my needs

  • Summary: This router replaced an aging D-link 615(?) wireless G router. The router arrived the same day as a house full of guests. It was up and running on DSL with my WPA2 devices in 10 minutes. Another 5 minutes, easily added a guest SSID for the house guests. One feature that attracted me was the USB ports for printers and external hard drive. Printer and external drive sharing never worked with the D-link.
