Summary: While it works pretty well when it's first powered up you have to reboot it every few hours. If it loses the cellular connection the only way to get it back is to either power cycle the device or go into the maintenance menu and tell it to restart.
Summary: I bought this router to use with my Verizon Pantech UML290 after another battery powered 4G router failed to connect as had been advertised. I received this one yesterday and after two small firmware updates, I plugged in my 4G USB modem and it locked on and I never looked back.
Summary: This has been one of the most reliable Internet products I've bought. We use it driving down the road to provide Internet access for our iPod Touch, Samsung Galaxy or laptop computer, and when traveling in other ways.
Summary: This device is a blast. Use it to create a hotspot using your cellphone data plan, at the same time tethered to your laptop if you like. Bring it to your Aunt Sally's on Holidays and connect it to her modem so everyone can enjoy a wireless connection.
Turns Your Existing Mobile Broadband USB Device Into A MIFI Hotspot - VERY COOL!
Bill C., Amazon
22 September 2014
Summary: I purchased this item on Amazon (got it very quickly). This was exactly what I was looking for after reading an online review (Ecoustics.com) of the Zyxel MWR211 portable router. I love that it turns my Verizon mobile broadband card into a MIFI/personal hotspot.
Summary: This product was a pain to set up and was just another accessory I had to pack when traveling. I ultimately got rid of my 4G usb card and upgraded to a hot-spot through Verizon. This device serves its purpose but definitely not simple. Save the money and get a hot spot through your wireless carrier.
Summary: My computer group introduced me to it. I originally had a dongle that linked by radio to the internet. Now by tapping into any Ethernet connection I create a hot spot. It can also be used as a primary router in a temp system or for giving demos Very useful.
Summary: I actually bought this to use for photography (it allows me to use my iPad as a viewfinder when the camera is positioned somewhere out of reach). But I've also used it as a router on vacation (where, surprisingly, the battery turned out to be useful).
