Summary: Nice little box that does the job. I have a fully wired network in the house, with a port in each room. A couple of rooms now have multiple devices each requiring network, so I have one of these in each of the rooms. Looks smart. The idicator lights might be irritating in a darkened room (e.g.
Summary: Having just bought a NAS I started looking into my network set-up. Despite gigabit connectors on my desktop and NAS, it dawned on my that the router (only 18 months old) only supported 100 Mbit! Rather than throw away a perfectly good router, I decided to invest in a gigabit switch.
Summary: This really is a cracking little 5 port gigabit switch. With an all metal case, it feels much more solid and substantial than most products in this price range. It is also small and unobtrusive, so is easy to hide out of the way. Most importantly, it just works straight out of the box.
Summary: I've been using this 5 port switch for a while now and have put it through its paces. I must say, I'm actually very impressed with this switch so much so that I've purchased the 8 port version of this for another part of my home network.
Summary: As the other reviews say, this is an excellent piece of kit. I nearly purchased the Zyxel GS105S Media Switch but saw a few reviews saying their NAS drive wasn't seen on the network so plumped for this.
Summary: Astounding device! Much faster (for whatever reason) than my other switch by another well known manufacturer. Worked perfectly straight from the box. It is well made and in a solid metal case which is rare these days. I'd consider this item as excellent value for the money!
Summary: As the title says - very small easy to hide - I use it to split ethernet feed to TV to include Boxee box and Youview box on the net - it was much easier than cabling again - bandwidth no problem at gigabit (cables cat6)
Summary: Physical product: Nice and small, supplied with wall fixings and rubber feet (making it ideal for placement on a desk or wall). Robustly constructed with a metal casing - has a nice weight to it. Requires a mains adapter to function.
Summary: Works well and very fast. No set up, just plug in the cables and it works. Auto sensing on every port so you can uplink without crossover cables. Metal body is nice, but no wall mount slots so I just used some velcro tabs to put it on a wall, LEDs on the top, connectors on the bottom. Ideal.
