Summary: This is an awesome router. Simultaneous dual band works flawlessly. My only issue was trying to share a printer with my mac. The software isn't supported any more, and it doesn't work with OS X Mavericks. Thankfully, I installed OpenWRT and got everything working great. I've even set it up as a printing and scanning server, and also as a NAS. Great device for the money even though it doesn't support the ac standard.
Summary: I bought this because my older router was acting intermittently, on and off. I thought that this one would be a good alternative and so far it has benn. It is faster than the one I had so I like that feature.
Summary: I bought this router to help reception in my home. The problem was the signal was weak in the living room. The wireless is in the computer room. I had trouble hooking up the device, but finally I was successful. Little improvement was noted. However, I'm not sure I hooked it up properly. After several valiant attempts to use it, I gave up and disconnected it. Due to sparse installation instructions, I don't think I can recommend it.
Very good quality modem at a GREAT price. Who says low price means "Yugo" ?

Summary: So far this router has functioned flawlessly. 1. It has a very nicely designed and easy to use Router Configuration page. Oddly, you're stuck with "admin" as a username, but you can assign your own password (which I highly suggest you change for your own protection). 2. Nice looking external design. Mama doesn't object to having it hanging by the ceiling in the Dining Room. ;<) 3.
Excerpt: I've had trouble with several different wireless routers in the past and decided to give WD a shot at it. I figured if they made routers as well as they make hard drives I would be happy. So far I am very pleased with this router. Its range is good, but more importantly it never drops out even once. It stays on steady and keeps its connection at all times and thats what you want from a wireless router.
Excerpt: I bought this router as a back up to my apple airport extreme My friend suggested I buy this router as it was on sale....it was marked down $60 from the original price so I bought it for $29.99!! where can you get a quality dual band router for this price!! This router was very easy to install; I use apple computers primarily and I just followed the instructions that came with the router and was connected to the internet and up and running in less than 10 minutes with no...
Excerpt: I never considered Western Digital when looking for a replacement router for my D-Link DIR-825 but this has fit the bill. I am running Windows Server 2012 on a VM as my DHCP and DNS so the Access Point capabilities worked exactly the way I wanted. Haven't had any drops and streaming via Netflix and Hulu have been great (HD quality of course!
