WD N750 router not working as advertised, only 72.2Mbps
3 March 2015
Summary: Bought 2 of these from Smileys Goods and both will not connect wirelessly at more than 72Mbps. Tried to return both and get told since they are new, contact Manufacture. This is the reason internet buying sucks. not a happy customer
Summary: Get a more evolved router where the programmers maybe actually use it. One of the lan ports burned out shortly after I got it.
Pros: Generally Works
Cons: Lots of weird stuff happens. It constantly says "You have successfully logged out". Yes it totally sucks that it logs you out every five minutes and that wonderful auto feature for me overrides everything else. It's just totally annoying that you have to keep logging back in when you're working o...
Summary: If all your devices works on internet, don't buy this. Ask for refund if you can.
Pros: 1. Look and Feel 2. Easy setup 3. router administration can be done from any device including over WiFi 4. Dual band
Cons: Here we go: 1. Weak signal (yes I’m sitting pretty close to the router in my 1 bed room apartment) 2. Zero Reliability a. Repeatedly internet connection drops! And had to restart router b. Internet slows down all of a sudden! And had to restart router c. Vonage phone calls drops! And had to resta...
Pros: Takes up very little space theoretical gigabit ports (don't really operate as such though) White with nice blue LED's
Cons: I bought this router to replace a Linksys... BIG MISTAKE!!! Intermittent lag spikes are a pain (didn't have them with other routers and do not have them when directly connected to cable modem). The real pain about this router is this: about once a day, give or take, I will lose connection to the ...

Summary: I was excited to purchase this dual band router for a good price. Upon receiving it I immediately updated the firmware to the latest and got to setting up. The setup has quite a few options that aren't real clearly explained, but no big deal. Overall the setup went fine.
Summary: This router works great when it decides that it wants to work. I am always having problems with disconnections and lags that its not worth dealing with. We bought 2 of them, one from Newegg Flash and the other from another site.
Pros: Works great when it feels like it.
Cons: Constantly disconnects Constant Ping Lag Refuses to have more then 2 Windows 8.1 computers on it for more then a couple of hours then it stops working and I have to restart it.
Cons: 5G Wifi stopped working after a week. After a wonderful week worth experience, 5G wifi quits working, regardless how you reboot it, cold warm. It'll work for a couple of minutes, then, starting rejecting connection requests and broke existing connections. Very frustrated, updated firmware to the ...
Summary: Dropped internet connections often and could only be resolved by powering off, sometimes several times an hour. WD no longer makes routers and has not updated the firmware in a year. Returning this router for one made by an actual router company committed to firmware support.
Summary: Please pay attention to the negative reviews and Google this product before purchase. I purchased this product last week and have spend the last three days trying to maintain an internet connection.
