Summary: As has been said before the 1st WD Livewire Powerlines were just a plug & play install no need to install the Livewire utility from enclosed CD. Additional sets require installing the original 2 making 1 the home device by attaching a Ethernet cable from your router & your computer to it.

Summary: Can't really add much to the reviews that were already posted, but the one piece of information that I could not find prior to ordering was if the system would work on 220v. It does work on 220v in both the Middle East and Europe. It works as advertised and is great when used with the WD Live Hub.

I took the two identical powerline 'modems' out of the box, unwrapped the provided power cords and short ethernet cables, plugged one box into my router (and a power outlet, of course), the other into the Pioneer VSX 1021...

Summary: I purchased 2 sets (4 adaptors) and it works right out of the box. My setup is 1 adaptor in my office near my modem as primary/master, the other 3 adaptors in 3 different rooms as extensions/slaves to provide me the wired LAN.
