DR Rizzles, Amazon
2 July 2015
  • Summary: Does what it needs to without any issues. We have this serving a dual role: Powering two cameras in an outdoor NEMA enclosure, and acting as a way to get cut an otherwise 500 ft run in half. Nothing fancy, but it didn't need to be.

Vincent P., Amazon

  • Summary: First one I received failed after 4 weeks: does not output Poe voltage tho it works fine as a non-Poe switch. After interminable hours with trendnet's offshore call center, I got an RMA. Had to return at my expense. After 2 weeks, I received a replacement.

Works with AvertX cameras and Q-See

VooDoooO, Amazon
4 January 2015
  • Summary: Powers my 15 AvertX cameras no problem. I actually have a Q-See DVR pulling from 15 AvertX cameras, thanks to this POE sending them all enough power to operate correctly.

Great POE and switch for replacements for our communication sites on BRADYCOMM Brady Communications

Brady, Amazon
1 January 2015
  • Summary: I have never had any problems with any TP-Link. They do extremely well on refunds beyond the warranty period. Even though Customer Support may be overseas, they did help me on a very expensive POE switch. About this switch, no problems. Plug in and play. No difficult setup at all.

Great switch

arugowski, Amazon
3 June 2014
  • Summary: These are probably the best switch with PoE for your buck. I haven't had one fail yet, though you cannot power more than two or three [smaller draw] PoE devices off of them, I generally only have one unit that needs it in the switch, that makes these idea compared to Cisco or Netgear's.

Not enough bang for the buck

E. Kisbey, Amazon
20 March 2014
  • Summary: This is a 24-port managed PoE switch. It does have VLAN support, though it's pretty poorly implemented. There are some compatibility issues with regard to "native" VLAN support, particularly with regard to VLAN 1 and trunk ports. It's pretty loud, and seems to run hot.

TRENDnet 8-Port 10/100Mbps PoE

John Salfer, Amazon
24 February 2014
  • Summary: We've installed over 100 of these units and all have worked flawlessly. With that said we have had issues with users plugging in the wrong power adapter. When a 12 volt adapter from another device is inadvertently used the switch acts like a non-PoE switch.

Now have 3 of these....

GaryD "GaryD", Amazon
4 January 2014
  • Summary: Aside from a quality issue on one (that still works fine just the LEDs on the POE side are a bit flakey) all 3 of these switches have performed flawlessly. I am very happy with these buggers and recommend them.

Very basic POE - do your math before you buy

BM2000, Amazon
3 January 2014
  • Summary: I have been using this POE for about 18 months for my Logitech Alert Security Camera's. POE consumption was rated 30W so, I did my math, 4 POE X 7W, I should be good. When it was new: It was able to manage 3 camera's without problems. The 4th one is on and off (getting maxed out).
