Summary: I purchased this router after seeing it as an Editor's Choice for PCMAG.com. My other router was 5 years old and starting to drop connections randomly. Not only did this router exceed my expectations but it was so easy to set up. Wireless signal is so much stronger than my old one. Works perfectly.
Summary: I had the opportunity to try the TrendNet AC1750 Dual Band Wireless Router free in exchange for my honest opinion. We currently have a router that is with our current service provider and we are constantly experiencing lost, dropped, or no signal.
Summary: I have my whole family's computers connected to 2.4GHz wireless and mobile phones connected to 5GHz wireless. The speeds are fantastic on both wireless 2.4GHz and 5GHz. I also now have my TV connected to 5GHz.
Summary: I am certainly not a techie but this was great for me. I just hooked it up and voila, it started working right away. There were no antennas to worry about. Just two cords and an easy to follow disc. Not all the specs make a lot of sense to me but I like it much better than my old wireless router.
Summary: For the layman: Out of the box security, easy setup, and reliable speed with many devices make this an excellent choice for the money. But not recommended for extreme ranges. My house is small so I selected this despite its weakness on wireless range.
How to Use the TRENDnet Wireless AC1750 as an Access Point not as a Wireless Router

Summary: I purchased this to use only as an "Access Point" not as a firewall router, since I have a firewall router already that I really really like -- except that the WIFI section of that firewall router is very slow and weak, and in a downstairs basement.
Excerpt: I bought this to replace a failing router. Set-up was simple and only took minutes. At the moment I only have 802.11n so I can't comment on 802.11ac but the wifi is plenty fast. I getting 65Mbps with Charter. My only complaint is that it is designed to stand on end and does not include a cradle.
Rather than a cool design, Trendnet packed the good stuff inside.

Summary: Very Impressed. The router I replaced was a well known mid priced router. I was unable to use either 2.4 or 5gig channels. The router sits behind dual monitors and all the cabling. I was unable to use either wireless channel. I had to connect a second router and used it as a wireless access point.
