Summary: This is my third Trendnet Router. Bought and set up this one for a friend. Others still working fine after 10+ years. For home use, no need to pay more for a router. great company to deal with. Prompt efficient service; website easy to navigate.
Summary: The item arrived quickly in new packaging. The router setup was intuitive and had high thru-put both wired and wireless. The media service setup to locally attached USB drives was simple and performs very good to local IP streaming boxes at the TVs. Occasionally I need to reboot the router when a local PC cannot access one of the USB drives to backup files.
Summary: I had a very hard time setting this up as it wanted user & password at nearly every step I made. After setting it up I found that my WI FI was not secured so I went back in to do the redundant steps and found by laptop that I had succeeded but then I had troubles getting a network connection at the desktop. On this the third day I am still filling in all the steps again & still no success with the desktop.
Summary: My D-link router got fried on a power bump so I needed a replacement. This Router was on sale, so I ordered it. The set up is so simple and I have my main PC and 3 laptops connected. I love the push button connection feature rather than the USB process for adding devices to the wireless network. Total satisfaction!
Summary: I followed the instructions I found by Googling how to set up a router as an access point. My existing PC is at the far end of my house on a LAN cable. I have the existing LAN cable plugged into a LAN port on the TEW-731BR as well as the existing PC (like a switch). Both the wired LAN ports and wifi work perfectly!
Summary: I purchased the Trendnet router to replace a hardwired switch on the cart I use to demonstrate our industrial control products. In the past, a limited number of clients could plug into the switch to interact with the equipment. It was always troublesome using the cables. The wireless router eliminated those issues. Now anyone in the room can easily connect to the demo server, even smartphones and tablets.
Summary: Not the fastest or best router in the world. Also NOT $200. Got this for $15 and was so easy to set up. I might suggest reviewing the written instructions for an overview but just follow on the on-screen set-up for quick results. Also wanted to add no drop-offs and flawless Netflix operation without ever getting hot.
