Summary: Worked on first try with defaults (which are quite good) factory random network key and password. swhere to change settings not obvious but could figure out. Performance 25% faster than n mode vs old g with same servers and service provider. N mode was limited by service provider connection.
Summary: I exchanged my old belkin for the trend net 300. Noe at least twice a day I have to reboot the router to establish Internet service. It is faster than my belkin but it is such a hassle to go to my computer room at least twice and sometimes four times a day to re establish my internet service...
Summary: I have spent over an hour with tech support - very patient with me, I might say. BUT, the router still won't install. I put my old Belkin back and it works flawlessly, albeit a bit slow. I was really looking forward to better connection around the house and more speed.
Summary: I bought this one to upgrade an older 150Mbps router. This one installed fairly easily and I also learned more about setting this one up, and also the 150Mbps router that it replaced. (passed on over to a friend that needed Wifi...)
Summary: I got it on sale and got what I expected. Nothing super fancy, but it reaches the third story from the ground level and is as fast as it should be. No complaints or problems in setting it up. For a decent, cheap router, I would recommend this.
