  • Summary: Reasonable price. May not get entire 300Mbps speed though. My comcast modem shows blue light when I connect my laptop directly to comcast modem, indicating full speed vs. orange light when trendnet wireless router is connected to comcast modem indicating not full network speed. In general streaming is slower when connected to trendnet router compared to connecting directly to comcast device (Guess I should have gone for 1Gbps one) For other activities the speed is ok, so...

  • Pros: Great rma process. Newegg was very fast in refunding my money back to my debit card. Thanks
  • Cons: when I changed the password it would change to something else but not what I changed it to. Couldn't login without resetting.

  • Summary: The WPS button does not seem to work. I have to initiate WPS via the web UI, if I want it to connect that way. Pressing the WPS button on the router does absolutely nothing. It's a decent looking router, and it handles the basic routing functions well enough. IPv6 is not yet turned on in my area, so I do not yet know how it will perform with the new protocol, although the web UI does display that it has support. It does not support bridging, unfortunately.

  • Summary: Got the new router when our old one didnt pull the speed needed for netflix and this one made a huge difference. we can stream with NO problem. However. Every day we have to power cycle the router. It drops connection on all the devices and we can p/c it and get right back on but that is a bit frusteration so I am trying to turn it off at night or p/c it before we get online every morning.

Disappointment....

Thomas C., Newegg
21 February 2013
  • Summary: I would hate to go and spend more money on a new router when this one is less than 9 months old. But it is frustrating to be in the middle of doing something on the web, and then just lose connection - for no reason.
  • Pros: 1. compact design 2. when it works, it works well 3. energy efficient
  • Cons: 1. drops internet connectivity often - even the PC that is hardwired by the LAN port loses connectivity 2. wireless speed isn't anywhere near advertised
