Summary: I purchased this because of a review that I read that raved about this router. This was my first attempt at installing a router. It was a royal pain in the posterior. I tried working with this thing for at least 6 hours. I think it arrived broken from the factory. I say that because of how easy the Cisco LinkSys router installed (my next choice for a wireless router). After being totally frustrated by this thing it got sent back.
Summary: For 5 Ghz band : I found it does provide about 60 Mbps speed only having both router and laptop in same room. Connection is unstable. For 2.4 Ghz : connection is more stable then 5 Ghz, however interruptions happen from time to time. Speed is 144 Mbps (both router and laptop in same room). Resume : this router does not provide any reliable communication. Speed is also not impressive at all !
Summary: Bought this trendnet router because I also owned a 633 which still works great after 3 or so years, but I just wanted to upgrade. Router pulled amazing speeds on my xbox, laptop, desktop, iphone, ipad, etc.; however once a PS3 was connected either wired or wirelessly (tried both, tried two different ps3 systems) the network would crash. It was not a simple reset either that was required. In order to get it up and running again, the whole router had to be reprogrammed.
Summary: The first router arrived and I tried to configure it. The configuration screen wouldn't display in any browser I tried. There was something there, it just wouldn't display. Trendnet support had no idea and asked me to exchange it. The second one had the exact same problem and it wouldn't even connect to the Internet so I could look up the Trendnet phone number. After finding the number via my cel phone, the representative asked me to call back in 30 minutes.
Router ran at 1/2 speed, worst customer service ever!!!

Summary: The router seemed alright, but I couldn't get the wireless transfer speed over 100Mbps, even though it's advertized as 450Mbps. I have a Cisco router that I use in my office and my laptop connects at 450Mbps all the time, so I know the issue is the router, not my laptop. Also, I was only a few feet away from the router during testing. I called TRENDnet and spent over an HOUR on the phone with two different reps.
