Summary: I bought this router about 2 months ago. It was very simple to install it and program it. However a few days after I installed it begun with problems with the internet connection. After contacting the manufacturer and a lot of research I understood one thing. It's very frequent with this router to have problems with the internet connection and nobody really knows why.
Summary: I spent a lot of time looking at routers, and finally settled on this one, which I bought for $40 new. Though low on features it seemed to get reviewed as a solid performer. The first problem I noticed was that it was only locking into a theoretical speed of 150Mbps. The signal range was okay but nothing surprising, it significantly dropped off one story up.
The TEW - 692GR Discontinued Wireless Dual Band Router is great if you can get one that works. 2 out of 3 failed out of the BOX

Summary: Bought three so far 2 were bricks out of the BOX. Hassle getting permission to send back and slow turn around getting the next one that did not power up! Not the power supply either. Bricks no lights and lengthy time to get resolution. They would do better monitoring their RMA requests more often than once per week or so. After the next one I will go to another model. By the way if you can get one of these that actually work out of the box they are really nice.
Summary: The product description is a flat out lie with DD-WRT. The device simply does not work with any level of reliability on wired or wireless connections. I literally cannot believe how bad it is. Absolutely, positively, do not purchase this product!
Pros: It looks nice, and the description makes it sound like a solid piece of equipment. I've had pretty good experiences in the past with Trendnet so I jumped on the deal.
Cons: It doesn't work. 2.4 and 5 bands constantly drop connection. I'm in the same room 10-15 ft. away with no obstructions. WIRED is completely unreliable! I'm getting an insane amount of disconnections and a ton of packet loss. And for the BIGGEST lie of all, this does not have any DD-WRT firmware or working openWRT firmware. This was one of the reasons I decided to go for it knowing I could flash it over. It is all over the documentation that it is supported but that isn...
Summary: This is my 5th TRENDnet device and I have always had a good experience with them. It has been really disappointing to see how bad this device is.
Pros: It has 4 gigabit Ethernet ports and is suppose to be 450 mbs wireless. The interface is easy to use and intuitive, navigation of settings is fast and the router is responsive. Stays cool unlike my old Cisco wireless router/modem.
Cons: I have had this router for 5 months and the 2.4GHz band has just stopped working. The 5 GHz band has always been hit or miss but I only have 2 devices that can read it so it was never a big deal. I cannot for the life of me get the 2.4GHz range back on and running, it is now useless as a wireless device. I will update if I can get anywhere with TRENDnet on a replacement or get a different device.
Summary: Only the 5.0 band would work, older devices would not connect to it. Amazon was great in their return policy however though offering a refund if I mailed back the unit. I forgot to do this so I still have the unit but very happy with Amazons support. I think this was just a defective unit/bad luck as overall I have heard good things about TRENDnets products.
