  • Summary: Would definitely recommend this for relatively close connections like apartments and small houses, especially for wirelessly accessing HD video content. May be worth waiting for an improved model from a different vendor with more range, however, if youre looking to use it at greater distances.
  • Pros: While I dont have a dual-band router, I do have the TRENDnet 691GR and thus appreciate finally using a 450Mbps receiver to pair with it. I like the fact that it has a built-it gigabit switch - definitely very handy unless you were planning on hooking up a smart/ mangaged switch and manually configuring the QoS, in which case youd probably be looking instead for the 687GA as long as you could do without the 5Ghz band.   • Cons: I bought this to replace a NETGEAR WNCE2001. The NETGEAR product was a great device that was very reliable and consistent as a network bridge, but I just needed to graduate to a gigabit connection and something fast enough speed-wise to wirelessly access network drives with full HD BD ISO files.
