Excerpt: As someone that has dealt with many different ADSL routers over the last few years I have become accustomed to the absolute minimum functionality being placed on these devices with the exception of one or two models by different vendors. I was pleasantly surprised after configuring this device for the first time to find that it probably has one of the most advanced feature sets for the price range it is sold at.
Excerpt: I was quite pleasantly surprised by this router. At just over R300 it is the cheapest and best router I've ever bought. I had it up and running in under 10 minutes. The wireless range is also pretty good. It has a nice glossy plastic finish. I would definitely recommend it!
Excerpt: being a layman, I found it a bit confusing to install the product. I had to go to my service provider to assist me which took quite a bit of time. The product works well but i have had to re-install it once.
Summary: For the price you pay this is one of the most easy pieces of kit to install and use I've ever com across! I'd say from the package to me being online maybe 5 minutes tops. I live in a good sized house and on the third floor there are a few spots where the I'm in and out of range but aside from that fantastic, great bargain for the price. Also great service again from Dabs heplful and efficient.
Summary: Cheap product, but has not performed. I used to get 110-130 Mbps on my laptop using my previous Buffalo router, but only 30-70 Mbps with this product. However, the real deal breaker was something I never came across before. I accessed many internet sites and even watched the BBC iplayer, but could not open couple of my regular web pages, one was orange.co.uk and the other was an online banking. Strange, but true!!
