Summary: It is now 3 year old. The interface is bizzare, but works VERY well. At this time, look for AC as (B G N) are phasing out. AC can provide up to 1GHZ but your adapter must support that standard. Still a good buy moving forward past 2014 AC will be the standard for all new WIFI. Overall router is a 3 and needs an advance user to fully understand the interface. :) MCSE, CCNA, <<< Advanced.
Summary: I ordered a TrendNet TEW-639GR router, for whatever reason, i couldn't connect to the router. Returning this product was a breeze. Submit a request and UPS picked it up the next day. Welcome to the 'virtual' age of customer service, it couldn't be easier. I ended up ordering a newer model, it's working great. Great prices, Great returns, Greatly satisfied.
Not happy with wireless and happy with the gigabit wired speeds
MT "MT", Amazon
20 March 2013
Summary: I have had this system running for several years, it was affordable for my cable system docsis 2 cable speed upgrades behind a new router to get some bonding. It has worked with out flashiness like a workhorse in the wired area, but it only has 4 ports. Wireless shuts down on a schedule, and using the manual switch to toggle on and off dumps the security settings.
Summary: Fourth time I buy this product, for use in home and small office. So far every single item has been working flawlessly and the one just purchased is working as expected. Good speed, good performance with multiple users streaming and skype with video, easy set-up and security options. Definitely like not to broadcast the SSID. Would definitely buy it again if I need another one.
My first TrendNet after owning several Linksys and D-Link systems.
5 September 2011
Summary: This is my first TrendNet after owning several Linksys and D-Link systems. The unit has been running for about a month, with absolutely no issues. Anytime you change your wireless connection, a reconfiguration of your laptop and desktop PC security codes is needed. With the TrendNet system, it took limited to no effort for this change-over. The three antenna system allows me to direct the signal throughout the home, unlike a singe or dual antenna system.
Summary: The unit works well. I had to call support as I had one faulty unit. They told me few things that are not documented (like power cycle after holding the reset button for 20sec, to really get the factory default to happen right). Overall very good value for the price. Got 1Gig Ether, the wireless works well too. Configuration is just like most other units - relatively transparent and logical.
