Summary: I'm not completely ignorant when it comes to computer issues but I'm also not a computer genius. When I began watching a large amount of online video on Netflix and other online services I decided to get a new router that was advertised as being fast.
Frequent reboots required even with latest firmware - stay away
15 September 2013
Summary: I've fought this router for 6 months now. Requires a reboot nearly every day, and more often with the more devices on network. Bottom line, it does not function in its most basic task, steer clear.
Summary: This router worked fine for about 4 months. Then it just stopped working (i.e. routing). After many, lengthy calls with customer service in India, I returned the faulty one for a replacement. The replacement was set up with Customer Service assistance and it still doesn't work.
Summary: Would not recommend this product or company if they need to charge us for support on a brand new product.
Pros: Phone setups went fine
Cons: Would not connect correctly to the x box 360. Was on the phone 40 min to make fixes that stopped even the phones from working. Support then offered to transfer me to an "expert" to help me but there would be a charge??????
Summary: This ones a stinker folks! I own an IT business and I've used many routers over the years. I actually read some poor reviews on this one, but decided to give it a try anyway. It was a big mistake. Router was glitchy from the start, constantly had to reboot it, then it just crapped out completely.
Summary: I bought this router after doing a lot research and I have been let down! The price was not that bad which is what attracted me to it, but after 2 years of owning it, it died! I submitted my request for a warranty replacement today. I will never buy another TrendNet. I should have bought the Linksy.
Summary: Followed the quick start instructions to the letter several times. Verified my internet connection. Tried suggestions I found on the web. Never saw the internet but could connect to local network. After 3 hours of trying to get a connection I was fed up and reconnected my old BUFFALO router.
Pros: Powered up. Allowed access to admin controls.
Cons: No connection to the internet. Not by WAN nor WiFi. Can't update firmware via wireless.
Summary: It may be cheap, but it does not work. I since bought a Netgear router that costs 3 times the price, but it works perfectly without any problems at all.
Cons: This product does not work. Period. When I bought it and put it on with my computer, within hours the internet connection went down. I kept trying to use it, but the internet connection would not work. I had my internet provider come out twice as I thought it was that. They could find nothing wro...
