Good switch for the price

Amazon Customer, Amazon
1 May 2013
  • Summary: Have been using the switch for 4 months now with no issues. I have two computers + my ISP connection on gigabit and everything else in the house is running 100. Throughput is consistent and reliable even under heavy usage. ***Update*** 4 months later (8 months in service total) and still no complaints. Very happy with this purchase decision.

Requires IE5.0+ or Netscape

Ken, Amazon
9 April 2013
  • Summary: Are you kidding me? I was looking for a low-end managed switch because I needed to configure VLAN. Most equipment in this class are limited to web interface, but IE5? Come on, I'm using Chrome, Safari and other modern browsers and don't have IE with me. On their website, there is a firmware update to fix this issue. But I can't update it because I can't even login to my switch!

In use in our computer labs

Jim, TigerDirect.com
16 May 2012
  • Summary: I have eight of these switches in us in seven computer labs, getting ready to do another four. They work well because we have 25+ computers in each lab, so 28 ports supports the uplink, computers and the printer. We did have one failure, but after some time (it was not fast) we did receive a replacement. But they have now been in use for nearly two years. Very happy and it is low cost.

Simple Smart Switch

Jaysam T., Newegg
10 May 2011
  • Summary: Simple switch, i like it. its small (depth wise) and doesn't run too hot. Just deployed to my data center where i dont need gigabit to all the ports. Pointed my Zabbix box to it and now i can monitor all my customers bandwidth usage via snmp.
  • Pros: Works out the box No Fan, so failures should be minimal Full SNMP support for traffic monitoring
  • Cons: Web Tools dont work in all browsers
