Summary: We do use them as managed switches currently but it is good to know that we can if needed. We do use the statics to monitor the network for anything weird. We will be buying another one soon to replace an older 100 Mb switch.
Pros: We have had this switch for almost a year now with no problems. It is fast, reliable, quiet, and green (low power). The admin interface is actually not terrible. I have seen some really bad ones over the years.
Summary: I don't really utilize them as "managed" switches, rather I purchased them because I like the GUI that allows me to monitor status and transmission statistics when desired. Helps in troubleshooting issues...which are few and far between.
Pros: Durable!! - I installed 2 of these switches in 2007 and both are still running strong 4 years later. They run flawlessly and have given me no problems. I am upgrading those two and two other switches I have with the TEG-448WS (48-port switches) which I hope run just as strong for just as long. Ev...
Summary: a great inexpensive managed gig-switch that rack-mounts. this is perfect for the more robust home network, or for a small company. The trunking ability is very nice at one house it is quite spread out, with considerable streaming etc...
Pros: good flexibility with setup trunking pretty solid piece
Cons: some features not able to run at same time as other features
Summary: These do a great job. We have installed them at many of our customers and are using them in our colo facility rack. VLans work great. Never had a problem with one. Their UI is a bit dated and only works in IE. They could use some web interface changes but overall it runs and stays running.
Summary: I bought three of these switches for our network hub. They are fantastic, except for one small nit - they're all set to an IP address that interferes with our router. Would have been better if they had set the switch to get an IP address using DHCP.
Summary: I purchased one of these over a year ago, and it has turned out well. I plugged it in and it worked (as an upgrade from an unmanaged SMC 10/100 * 16 port switch). I wanted to change some settings; after a few experiments I had it tweaked the way I wanted.
Summary: This switch and the 16 port version of it are supposed to support port trunking. Unfortunately with the latest firmware, trunking ports freezes the web management interface and corrupts the config so you can no longer log into it.
Trendnet makes great products at a reasonable price point...

Summary: Purchased for my workplace, I have had great success with Trendnet products. This is no exception, performed well out of the box and the addressable interface made setup and monitoring a breeze.
