Summary: I am using this inbetween another switch and a router to run 75' worth of cable. Simply hooked the wires up and it worked. No fuss. I went with 100mbit in this case because at the far end I'm routing IP Cameras which won't saturate the available bandwidth. They worked immediately with this setup and have never given a problem.
Summary: Excellent product, i just plug in and starter working with out any installation and does not need to know much about electronic system internet connection; just plug it and go. Perfect for people like me, that we don't know much about wiring.
VOIP and heavy downloading from a computer makes your calls cut in and out

Summary: I bought this switch christmas 2011. I thought it had a alot of ports for the price. Then, when I hooked my computer into it and my Obi110 voice adapter into it, when I went to download\upload large files on to my online storage, my obi110 calls would starting cutting in and out. I could hear the person on the other end just fine, they just kept telling me that I was cutting in and out. I had to keep disabling my LAN port on my computer just to talk on the phone.
Summary: Purchased this 8 port hub to replace two hubs and a wireless router behind my media center. You can ask no more from a router than you get with this bargain buy. I use a netgear powerline adapter (another good product), Plugged in all the jacks, plug in the power and shazam. Works like a champ. Now I can put all the lines together and minimize the tangle.
Summary: I've installed these in three locations, and am pleased with them. Note that there are 100 mB/s versions and 1 gB/s versions; pick the one you need for your network. The unit is quite solidly built; heavier than one might think, with a nice metal enclosure. They work well with multiple ping-time-sensitive devices such as VOIP telephone bases. I don't know the veracity of the power saving claims, but they do seem to run a touch cooler than other switches.
Summary: I bought this switch to replace an older 10/100 switch that died. A great value for the price. It is small and is well built with a metal case (most others are plastic), this one is sturdy. You can hang it from the wall or set it on a shelf, it runs cool and works flawlessly. I have mine hanging on the side of the desk. Very easy setup. Would recommend to anyone needing an inexpensive switching hub for home internet connectivity.
